CHALLENGE:

Write a title and meta description for a website that sells subscription contact lenses delivered to a user every 30 days — convince them to try it.

SOLUTION:

The user characteristic ‘Elderly’ was my priority here. This user wants to buy contact lenses, so I included information that the product was both affordable and convenient, with home delivery meaning no need for the user to travel.

CHALLENGE:

Tell the user that one of their favorite bands is playing live in their town. How would you compel them to want to go?

SOLUTION:

Notification of upcoming, imminent, Metallica live event. To ‘compel’ the user to with options “play” and “order tickets”

CHALLENGE:

How would you let the user know there’s a fire happening in a nearby town that is causing road closures? The effect on their commute is unknown, but there is a definite danger if the fire gets closer. How do you communicate this to them? When? Write it.

SOLUTION:

The need to get ready, to be prepared, came to mind from the scenario. I used “Alert”, to prepare drivers for important and breaking travel news. Only a very short text was available, so the message is straight to the point, warning of potential road closures

CHALLENGE:

Write a promotional screen for an app that lets a user choose teams, sends game reminders, real-time score updates, and highlights videos.

FLIGHT CANCELED

SOLUTION:

I used the word “Urgent” to grab the user’s attention, after the ‘abrupt’ cancellation laid out in the scenario. Need to have the app user react quickly to the event, follow the steps in the app and inform the airline of his or her choices. I upgraded the flight to a business class for the following day. I gave the options to accept/confirm and change/contact in case the user changed her mind.
